The FIA have approved Manor Racing's (nee Marussia) application to appear on the grid for 2015, meaning that the only hurdles left for them are to pass crash tests for the 2015 chassis. I can't wait to see them on the grid, even if they can't race anyone until later in the year. Caterham confirmed gone.

I want to see the look on Bob Fernley's face if that happens. Will Stevens seens to have a Bianchi-like disregard for where his car is "supposed" to be, and the Honda doesn't seem to work, so who knows. He wasn't afraid to fight Alonso for position in Abu Dhabi, so if there's enough attrition someplace like Monaco, points could be possible again.

I am super happy for Marussia. But I hate to see Caterham go, actually I hate to see Kobayashi out of F1.

Yeah, I'll miss his kamikaze antics. While I always hate to see a team go, I don't feel bad for Caterham. I feel bad for the people who worked there, but I'm not going to miss the team. It was the opposite of Marussia in alot of ways. While Marussia got their heads down and did everything they could to get back onto the grid, Caterhams maybe-owners were bickering amongst themselves and realizing that the team was split up into a ton of companies that seem to have existed only to burn each other's books. Caterham was a backmarker team with a huge budget. There was no reason for their on-track performance being so poor apart from piss-poor management and a megalomaniac team principle who thought that he could just spend and bluff his way to the top without putting the work in on the back end.

I really hope that this season is more contentious than just between the two Merc pilots
